Membership Categories
Everyone who loves stories and storytelling is invited to join SMSA.
There are 3 categories of membership.
Regular Membership Open to any adult interested in the art of storytelling. Dues are $15 per year for an individual or household. Tellers for SMSA events must be SMSA members in good standing. Members receive discounts on fees for SMSA workshops and may apply for financial assistance to attend outside workshops. Junior Membership For tellers under the age of 18; dues are $15 per year. Junior members must have written permission from a parent or guardian to join and must be accompanied by a parent or another adult at all SMSA events and meetings. Junior members in good standing are eligible to tell at SMSA events. Corporate Membership Available for $50 per year to businesses that want to support the traditional art of story-telling. Corporate members are gratefully acknowledged at all SMSA events.
To become a member, come to a meeting or send dues payment with your name, address, phone number and email address to SMSA, P.O. Box 23054, Knoxville TN 37933. Let us know if it's a Junior Membership and we will send a form to be completed and returned.
